Parents

Parents

Here at Penn Valley Church we see oursleves as a family of families and believe PARENTS have been given the primary responsibility to disciple their children. Therefore we seek to equip and partner with parents in their primary role as disciple makers.  However, we also believe PARENTS do not have the ONLY spiritual influence on their children, therefore we look to PARTNER with and EQUIP parents by widening their circle of INFLUENCE. Penn Valley Church seeks to widen the circle of influence a parent has by engaging their children with other like-minded Christ following adults through our children and youth ministries.

Below are some of the ways we seek to PARTNER with PARENTS in discipleship process of their children:

Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry meets weekly during the school year on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:45pm in the Gym & Coffee House. We have a great team of adults who seek to partner with parents in discipling their teenager. Each week consists of fun group games, announcements, Bible teaching and small group discussion groups.  The youth ministry also seeks to help the teens reach out to their friends with the Gospel message by hosting monthly Sunday Night Live events that are designed to be fun, non- threatening atmosphere for teens to come and hang out. The youth ministry also see to equip students to serve others through various service projects like feeding the homeless, ministering at nursing homes, and traveling to inner-city neighbor hoods to reach out to the poor.  This ministry is for all teenagers 7th-12th grade.

Children Ministry

Our children's ministry meets weekly on Sunday Mornings during the sermon time. This ministry is called Club 318 and is designed to make church fun with fun songs, games, Bible teaching and activities. This age group is for ages 4 year old through 4th grade.

We also have an exciting 4th, 5th & 6th Grade ministry called NUTS. (Never Underestimate The Scriptures) This ministry meets weekly during the sermon time and has quarterly fun events like Pizza and Bowling, Iron Pigs Baseball Games and Campfires. NUTS also seeks to engage the students heart in serving others through a variety of service projects.

Intergenerational Worship Service

Every Sunday we gather together for worship at 10:15am in the Worship Center. Children ages 4 years old and up are encouraged to worship with their parents and then are dismissed prior to the sermon for age appropriate teaching and activities and then return to their parents for the concluding worship time of the service.

Family Nights

Meet once a month on the 1st Wednesday of each month. October thru May starting at 6:00pm with a free meal for your family and classes for every age group at 7pm.
