Youth

Youth

Penn Valley Youth Ministries seeks to partner with and equip parents to evangelize, establish and equip the next generation to be loyal followers of Jesus Christ who love one another.  Several ways we seek to Partner with parents in Reaching the next generation are:

Youth Group Gatherings

This gathering is designed to a friendly, fun challenging and exciting atmosphere. This  program seeks to shatter "church is boring" stereotype and helps students celebrate life in Jesus.  It is filled with laughter, antics, messages that challenges students to center their life on Jesus and then concludes with small group discussion with a Christ- following adult.

Momentum Youth Conference

An annual week long conference for students in grades 7th-12th grades. Momentum is all about connecting youth to God, helping them to understand where they belong in God’s kingdom and how they can know God’s purpose for their lives. Students come to this week-long conference expecting to encounter God, to be challenged in their faith, to take home some nugget of truth they didn’t know before, and to strengthen their commitment to their local church and youth group.

Weekend Retreats

Every fall we have host the best weekend of the year with our Welcome Retreat. This retreat is often the high light of the year for students as they kick off the year making new friends and growing closer to existing friends. This retreat is held up in the mountains at Camp Conquest or The Loft Ministries.

Short Term Mission Trips

We seek to offer cross-cultural opportuties for parents and other adults to serve alongside their children. Some of the mission trips we offer are: going to inner-city Philadelphia to serve at the Whosoever Gospel Mission, or the Urban Hope Church. Or in Washington D.C. to About My Father's Business, or even farther to Toronto, Canada for The Great Canadian Adventure mission trip.

Sports Camp Ministry

Every year we host a sports camp to hundreds of kids in our community with the hope to share the good news of Jesus with them. High School students have the opportunity to serve as full day huddle leaders. Junior High students have the opporutnity to serve in the half-day preschool program and then engage in an afternon Student Leadership course.
