Four Soils

Story of the Four Soils

The Story of the Four Soils
Jesus tells the story of a farmer who scattered his seed. The seed fell on four kinds of soil. Some fell on the path. Of course, they never took root. Some fell on rocky soil. Although they sprouted, they died quickly. The third soil had weeds along with the seeds. The weeds choked out the young plants. But the fourth soil was a good soil. "It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times." Mark 4:1-20.

Jesus said the seed is God's Word, and the soils represent how we receive it. We pray that along with receiving this free produce, you become like the good soil - receiving God's Word. Let it grow inside of you and give you new life. Let it transform you and make you a blessing to many others - thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times over!

We invite you to come and hear God's Word and celbrate His goodness with us Sundays at 10:15AM. Or give us a call at the church office at 215-723-5890 if you or someone you know needs help.

"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." ~ John 5:24
